Ways to keep updated with the I Love Kensington Association (ILKA)
The ILKA has several innovative ways in which members of the public can stay in touch with us, hear about and comment on our initiatives and activities.
Our Facebook Page
The Facebook Page was launched in November last year and although we’ve had a couple of teething problems and a name change along the way, it’s grown from strength to strength. This is where you can engage in discussions and contribute your thoughts and ideas.
The e-Mail Database
We send out emails to inform members of the public when things are happening with ILKA. The email database is our longest standing method of communication with the public and is a great way to let people know what’s happening and to connect with everybody in our community. For info regarding this contact Colm Burns.
The SMS Database
This is our most recent form of communication and it has been established to send out short, up to the minute messages to people who ask to be put on the database. At this stage messages will be sent out twice monthly unless there is an urgent communication to make, and it’s meant for people who don’t have easy access to the internet but would like to stay up to date with us. Contact Gaynor if you want to be included.
Our Local Newspaper
Regular information about our activities is published in the Joburg East Express.
