Proudly Kensington Spring Fair 6th Sept. 2009
What happened at the sring fair 2009
Continuing the tradition of the last 20 years the Kensington Spring Fair was held on Sunday 6th September which was a glorious warm sunny day.
There were over 200 stalls offering a wide variety of goods such as lovely arts and crafts, books and great collectables. One stall was selling the most incredible home made cakes. There was plenty of variety amongst the food stalls so what ever your taste was it was catered for. One stall holder was selling some of the products belonging to the late Brett Kebble which he had bought at auction. The well known Kensington authoress, Elzabe Heine, was selling her latest book, Goldenspoon, which she also signed.
It was a great family day out with the younger children having fun on the train rides around the park, the aerial runway, the pony rides and the bouncy castles. Amongst the entertainment there was an excellent rock band.
With Christmas not being far away, this was a good opportunity to purchase those difficult gifts at reasonable prices especially in these difficult economic times. The wonderful Mr. and Miss Kensington competitions commenced at 2.00pm. There were loads of prizes and for those who see a future in show business there was the opportunity to win Modeling, Casting and Video contracts.
Ant?z Place Hair and Beauty Salon in Kensington organised the show.
A big thanks to Rhodes Park Bowling Club who provide the usual cold refreshments and
also helped sponsor the costs of the fair.
The Fair closed at about 5.00pm after everyone having a great family day out
